Hello once again

I recently had the pleasure of being involved with my good colleague Larry Pollock in a major re-work of Carra Riley’s blog Cosmic Cow Pie. This was going to include migrating from Blogger (blogspot) to WordPress and a whole host of extras to give Carra a stable and robust platform to work from.

Carra wanted to get a fresh look for her blog and book that she sells in a number of channels (digital and hard-copy) as well as having the ability to discuss with her customers the various chapters and having the option to add a membership site at a later stage.

Before

We quickly setup a design, integration and roll-out plan for Carra to ensure she had all the right tools in place for her book and membership selling strategy. As tools of choice for this particular WordPress project we used:

- Headway Themes,
- Wishlist Member,
- iDev Affiliate,
- Simple Press to help glue the forum together
- and lastly CartLoom from YabDab software for managing the digital download purchases.

All forum registrations are handled via Wishlist and auto-responders for email newsletters are also integrated with MadMimi. Any sales via Cartloom are also hooked into MadMimi to get maximum coverage.

In addition, we took care of securing login and affiliate areas (with SSL) , performing all unit integration tests , any CSS customizing and optimizing the site on the existing host that Carra is with currently.
